If I’m new and have never been to your church, what do I need to know? As you answer this, imagine the person has never been to any church so may have many questions. Use this as an opportunity to ease any concerns or fears before walking through the door. Treat this as a FAQ and list as many or as few as needed. We’ll get you started with some ideas but craft this with your own words and topics to make it your own. Examples:  TAKE A DEEP BREATH. YOU’LL FIT IN. You might have questions about what to expect at this church. Here are answers to a few common questions.  What should I wear? Come just as you are -- be comfortable, there are no expectations for you attire. From flip flops to cowboy boots, jeans to shorts, wrinkled or pressed, you’ll fit right in.  Jesus cares about you, not what you wear.   What is your music like? We are committed to worshiping Jesus with hearts that rise out of friendship with him. Our worship team leads us in songs that declare of the character of God, his holiness, and his desire to be in relationship with us forever through faith in Christ.    How long is the Sunday Service? Our worship services last about an hour and fifteen minutes. We’ll sing and pray together, read God’s Word, and be challenged to grow in our faith.  Will I be pressured to give? As our guest, please don’t feel obligated to give. If you are a follower of Christ please present your tithes and offerings to God as he leads.  What about my kids? We believe you are never too young to learn about Jesus and serve him. Children are an important part of life at [church name] and we’re committed to helping them become a growing follower of Jesus! During the first half of the church service kids worship with the adults, then are given the opportunity to join other [church name] for a ministry time planned just for them!   Child safety is paramount. All of our Children’s Ministry workers have passed background checks and are committed to providing your child with fun interactive learning time.
