Biography
Jolene Kinser is passionate about helping individuals, faith communities, and mission teams resolve conflicts and restore relationships. Her commitment to culturally-situated biblical peacemaking led her to extensive research, culminating in the publication of her book Changing Normal: Break Through Barriers to Pursuing Peace in Relationships《和好如初:打破人际关系中的僵局》.
Jolene loves being out in nature with a good friend as well as connecting people to helpful resources. Her education background includes a BA in Linguistics and Religious Studies from UC Davis (1997), an MA in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Seminary (2002), and a PhD in Intercultural Education from Biola University (2020).
Expertise
A Certified Christian Conciliator, Christian Reconciler Coach, and Alliance Peacemaking Trainer, Jolene provides individual and team-based coaching as well as biblical peacemaking training. She is versed in SDI, has received training in effective trauma care, and believes that we can’t take anyone further than we have gone ourselves, so ongoing personal growth in the Lord is essential.
Experience
Jolene Kinser is fluent in Mandarin and has cultivated deep cultural sensitivity through fifteen years of overseas ministry experience and two decades of engagement with Chinese heritage churches in North America.
